Tis the season?

For those near me, they know I go a little overboard for Halloween and Christmas. A month before the trick-or-treaters start towards my door I am out there decorating the roof, the ground and building my tunnel to fill with other spooky decorations. For Christmas, I have been told my unofficial goal must be to make planes divert or at least get cars off the highway to stop by and stare. In reality, it is the smiles and big eyes from the kids that come buy that stop and stare. Always a lot of fun but that is October through December with the whole rest of the year needing some holiday cheer.

I came up with the idea to build a family of sugary coated family friends to adorn my yard. Each stands over three feet tall and a unique color illuminated by an associated lights. To complete the display I add a few blow ups that can typically survive the spring weather and pump up the smiles from the kids and drive bys. It may not be on the same scale as my Halloween and Christmas display just yet, but it grows a little more each year. I already have it in my calendar for setup date so they can be out on display and enjoyed for at least a month before they get tucked away to make room for summer.

The price of wood makes bunnies of this size very hard to market so you’ll find some scaled down versions in my shop. I have the 8” version with an egg base great for your desk, mantle or table. My 16” version has a post allowing it to be added to a raised garden bed, flower bed or even your front yard. Don’t hesitate to reach out and order your own but also would love to see what you put out for your display so we can both collaborate on future decoration ideas. My email is in the footer of every page for easy contact. Always room to make a bigger display next year. ;)
